WARRANTIES & INSURANCE
Village Builders’ renovation warranties are the longest and strongest in the industry. We provide a conditional two-year warranty on our workmanship. Our staff and our sub-contractors carry liability insurance and are fully covered by workers compensation. We also have in force liability insurance coverage of $5 million. • 2010: Local Member of Provincial Parliament (MPP) Jim Wilson acknowledged Village Builders on our 30th anniversary.
• 2010: Village Builders received a Guildmaster with Distinction award for having over 90 per cent of our customers indicate they would recommend our services.
• 2015: Village Builders built award wining architect John Starks’ home.
• 2016: Village Builders worked with Frantic Films to produce a HGTV show called “Treehouse Village” on the “Unusual Backyard Series”.
Doug and his wife and partner Ursula started their own construction business in 1980. Doug supervising the build and Ursula handling the accounting from their home office. Their business has grown incrementally and steadily as has their network of reliable local craftspeople.
In 1985, they transferred their operations to Clearview Towhship.
Eighteen years in, by 1998, son Rob joined the staff roster and has increasingly taken on responsibility as he has honed his expertise. Rob is the vice president of operation and is being groomed to take over the business when Doug is ready to retire.
For the past 10 years, Village Builders has managed up to 14 full-time staff, working on multiple custom homes and renovations per year.
Village Builders has always been committed to our local community, sponsoring sports teams (Clearview Soccer Club and Creemore Minor Hockey Association), events (the Creemore Community Christmas Dinner) and supporting community resources like My Friend’s House shelter for women and Ray’s Place youth centre.
